Sometimes I get bored with cardio and just don't feel like hitting the stairs for 40 min. On days like this I will change it up and do something fun. Give this cardio routine a try! 

5 min jump rope

Repeat 5- 8 rounds of

  • 1 min bodyweight squats
  • 10 sec rest
  • 1 min mountain climbers
  • 10 sec rest
  • 1 min alternating single leg vups
  • 10 sec rest
  • 1 min squat thrusts
  • 10 sec rest

Incorporate Tabata Training 

Traditional tabata workouts are structured  like this..... 

  • 5 exercises
  • Each preformed for  8 rounds of ( 20 sec working interval and 10 sec resting interval)

But you can shorten this and just pick one exercise 

  • Push hard for 20 seconds
  • Rest for 10 seconds.
  • Repeat this eight times.

Add this for an intense finish to your cardio training a few times a week

  • 5min walk for warmup
  • 10min run at 7.0mph
  • 10min sprints: 1min 4.0, 1min 10-12.0mph
  • 10min incline walk 3.5mph at 15% incline
  • 5min cool down
